“Am I charging the right price?” is certainly a question that you’ve asked yourself a time or two, or maybe a hundred. In fact, it’s one of the most common questions I get asked in regards to pricing products & services.
The reality is, pricing products & services can be somewhat of a tricky game until you ground yourself in the principles of value creation. When you think about pricing, ask yourself, “What’s the value I’m creating” – not “What do I do”. What you do and the value that you create are two different things. Price is based on the value you create, not based on “what you do”. The key is to use the information about the value you’re creating to ensure you take more money to your bank at the end of the day.
