The Georgia Secretary of State is responsible for regulating various industries to support a competitive and efficient marketplace that contributes to the economic development of Georgians. Improving Georgians’ financial literacy is a key part of the Office’s mission. As part of his financial literacy platform, Secretary Brad Raffensperger will hold a series of events aimed at empowering, educating and encouraging Georgians. Agency outreach programs also are focused on consumer protection: alerting Georgians to the risks of fraud, financial crime and financial abuse, and arming Georgians with information to help protect them.
